Welcome to Kling Report

New Hampshire has 234 municipalities with 13 cities and 222 towns though some towns are much bigger than some of the cities. Each municipality provides essential services to the citizens of their community such as police and fire service, emergency rescue and ambulance service, code enforcement, recreational services, conservation programs, library services, water, sewer, and public education.

During public budget hearings, I found I knew very little about what other towns offered for services and how their budgets changed from year to year. That is what this web site tries to do. The DRA does an excellent job of providing data that I was able to use to do the comparative analysis that I was interested in and used in the various documents.

For fire and dispatch services, the state did not provide much information nor did the town web sites. Another reason for establishing this web site.

New Hampshire towns are ahead of the rest of New England towns in putting town reports on their web sites with more towns doing this each year.
